About Us
L.I.S.T. and the Owner
Lasting Impact Speech Therapy, PLLC (L.I.S.T.) was founded in September 2019 by Dr. Shaverra Jones. Dr. Jones currently provides speech-language services in Charlotte, NC and surrounding areas. She is a certified member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensed in the states of California, North Carolina and South Carolina. Dr. Jones has been practicing as a speech-language pathologist for 16 years.
Dr. Shaverra Jones is a graduate of University of South Carolina with a BS in Exercise Science (emphasis Motor Development) and Masters in Speech Language Pathology (emphasis aural rehabilitation). She received her Clinical Science Doctorate in Speech Pathology from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in 2017. She has worked with a variety of populations in different clinical settings such as schools (elementary, middle, and high school), outpatient clinics (pediatrics), skilled nursing facilities, and home health including child care centers.
Dr. Jones’ research/field interest includes children with speech sound disorders and accent reduction. Dr. Jones serves as a speech consultant where she trains other speech-language pathologists to use evidence-based treatments to remediate speech sound disorders.

Teletherapy services are very similar to traditional face-to-face speech therapy services with the exception for the service delivery through a predetermined telecommunication platform.

We provide speech and language services to all-ages.
We currently accept North Carolina Medicaid and Health Choice programs in addition to self-pay. We are not in-network with insurance companies at this time. We are an out of network insurance provider.
Upon request, we can provide you with an invoice to submit to your insurance company. We will also provide you any additional treatment documents needed to submit to your insurance provider. Check with your insurance provider in regards to coverage.
We currently provide services to Mecklenburg and surrounding counties including Carbarras, Gaston, and Lincoln.
